1. This competition is organised by “Westerman’s Premium” (the promoter) within South Africa.
2. To claim the prize, you need to email competition@valemount.co.za, and we will send a representative to verify your cards.
3. Reference to Westerman’s Premium will include but not be limited to: Westerman’s Premium bird seed, Westerman’s Premium wild bird seed.
4. All persons entering this competition (“participants”) agree to the competition rules (“the rules”) and competition terms and conditions(“the T&C’s”) as set out below.
5. This competition is open to any participant who is a citizen of South Africa and is at least 18 years old.
6. The promoter reserves the right to amend The Rules and Terms and Conditions by notification at any time during the competition.
7. The competition will run from 09 September to 31 January 2026, or while stocks last, as the competition is stock-dependent.
8. The promoter’s decision in this competition will be final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
9. A participant will be excluded if s/he is a director, member, partner, employee, agent of, or consultant to the promoter or any other person who directly and indirectly controls or is controlled by the promoter and will include any supplier of goods and services in connection with this competition.
10. No Employees or family members of employees of Valemount Trading will be eligible to win any prizes.
11. No employee of the supplied stores or family members will be eligible to win any prizes.
12. Prizes may be claimed up to 31 January 2026. No prizes will be awarded after the stipulated time frame.
13. Only 1 Golden ticket winner will be allowed – This is based on the first reported individual. The card will need to be present in order for the prize to be claimed. Cards will be taken until the competition is over in order to avoid duplicate prizes being claimed via the swapping and sharing of cards.
14. Only 5 Endangered bird category winners will be allowed. This is based on the first 5 reported individuals. The cards will need to be present in order for the prize to be claimed. Cards will be taken until the competition is over in order to avoid duplicate prizes being claimed via the swapping and sharing of cards.
15. Only 5 Rare bird category winners will be allowed. This is based on the first 5 reported individuals. The cards will need to be present in order for the prize to be claimed. Cards will be taken until the competition is over in order to avoid duplicate prizes being claimed via the swapping and sharing of cards.
16. Only 5 Special bird category winners will be allowed. This is based on the first 5 reported individuals. The cards will need to be present in order for the prize to be claimed. Cards will be taken until the competition is over in order to avoid duplicate prizes being claimed via the swapping and sharing of cards.
17. The competition will run on a “While Stocks Last” basis. There are approximately 150 000 bags that will enter circulation.
18. The prizes are not negotiable and not transferable, and may not be exchanged for cash.
19. Before any prizes are handed over, the bird card will be inspected by a Valemount Trading representative to check for its validity.
