Got a great bird shot? Share it with us and you could be crowned our next Bird of the Month! This is your chance to show off your birdwatching skills and celebrate the feathered visitors in your garden, park, or favourite wild spot.
Each month, we select one winning photo from the images we’re tagged in. To enter, simply share your best birding photo on Instagram or Facebook and tag @Westermans or use the hashtag #WestermansBirdoftheMonth, or both! We’ll choose one lucky winner every month to receive a Westerman’s birding hamper and have their photo shared on our socials.
But that’s not all! Our winning images will be turned into the artwork for our annual Westerman’s Calendar. Each monthly winner will also receive a calendar shipped to them as our way of saying thank you for participating.

Photos we’ve been tagged in
1. This competition is open to South African residents.
2. One winner will be selected each calendar month.
3. Entries must be original photographs taken by the participant.
4. Winners will be contacted via DM and announced on Westerman’s social media platforms.
5. By entering, you grant permission for Westerman’s to share your image and use it in marketing, including the annual Westerman’s Calendar.
6. Prizes are not transferable or redeemable for cash.
7. By tagging Westermans and using the designated hashtag, all participants grant Westerman’s permission to use their photographs for marketing purposes. Each participant will receive credit for their photographs.
